Senior
Pastor: Mark Swirsky
Mark is
the Senior Pastor at Hope Fellowship. Mark completed his
undergraduate training at Texas A&M University with a Bachelor
of Arts in Biology and received a Master of Science in
Environmental Management from the University of Houston at Clear
Lake City. He worked as a biologist at an environmental
consulting firm in Clear Lake City for six and a half years
until God called him into the ministry. He studied for four
years at Dallas Theological Seminary and
received the Master of Theology. After completing his seminary
training he served as an Associate Pastor directing a singles
ministry at Hawthorne Gospel Church in New Jersey. In June
1996 he came to First Evangelical Free Church (now Hope
Fellowship) as Senior Pastor.

Pastor
Mark's Family and Interests -
The Swirsky
family includes Pastor Mark, his wife Julie and their
children Melanie, Stephen and Leslie. Mark and Julie
married in 1984. As a family they enjoy camping, taking
vacations and playing board games.

Associate Pastor: Clovis
Barnett
Clovis the Equipping Pastor at Hope Fellowship. His
responsibilities include oversight of the Evangelism,
Discipleship/Small Group, Network, and Children’s
ministries. Pastor Clovis completed his undergraduate
training at the University of Southern Mississippi in 1979
with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a
major in Banking and Finance. After five years with a bank
in Jackson, MS as a Commercial Loan Officer, Clovis attended
Dallas Theological Seminary where he received a Master of
Theology degree in 1990
followed with a Master of Religious Education degree from
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1992.

After
completing his seminary training, he served as the Associate
Pastor of Discipleship and Worship at Suburban Bible Church
in Highland, IN and the Minister of Christian Education at
First Baptist Church, Ocean Springs, MS. In 1998 he
returned to the business world as the Chief Operating
Officer of the Values Investment Forum (VIF) followed by the
same position with the mother company of VIF, Executive
Financial Planning in Jackson, MS. Clovis also served as an
Adjunct Professor with Belhaven College, a Christian liberal
arts college in Jackson. In January 2003 he came to Hope
Fellowship as its’ Equipping Pastor.
Pastor Clovis’ Family and Interests -
The Barnett family includes Pastor Clovis, his wife Anita,
their daughter Sarah and their dog Sophie. Clovis and Anita
married in 1991. As a family they enjoy entertaining
friends, playing games, taking walks, reading good books,
